storm chasing coach cameron nixon.

Cameron's first tornado was the historic Rochelle, IL, EF4 on April 9th, 2015, not even an hour from his home in northern Illinois. This storm not only left him rattled for years to come, but also inspired his relentless obsession to understand how storms work.

Earning his Masters and Ph.D., Cameron now works as a research scientist, working closely with the National Weather Service and Storm Prediction Center to push the bounds of what we're able to predict about storms. He's perhaps most known for his work with hodographs, hail forecasting, deviant tornado motion, and "nudger" theory, and for co-founding the Chase Archive initiative.

Otherwise, Cameron roams the Plains just like we all do, in search of the next beautiful, and harmless, display of mother nature.
